Who I am
Jo's Pet Care Co. is run by Joanna Townley, a Registered Veterinary Nurse (RCVS no. 7054647). I am the controller of the personal information you give me. You can contact me through the enquiry form or by email.
What I collect
- Your name, phone number, email address and home address or postcode.
- Your pet’s details and routine. Health and medication details are collected in person, not through this website.
- Access arrangements for your home (agreed in person, not through this website).
- An emergency contact, if you give one.
- Records of the care I provide and payments.
Why I use it
- To reply to your enquiry and arrange a meet-and-greet (steps before a contract).
- To provide and record the care you book (performance of a contract).
- To contact your vet or emergency contact if your pet needs urgent help (legitimate interests and your pet’s welfare).
- To keep financial records required by law (legal obligation).
- To share photos of your pet on social media – only if you say yes, and you can change your mind at any time (consent).
Who I share it with
I never sell your information. I use a small number of services to run the business: Web3Forms (passes website enquiries to my email), Google (calendar and booking), Microsoft (email) and Cloudflare (website hosting). These providers may process data outside the UK, and Web3Forms’ own privacy policy allows it to keep form submissions for up to three years. For that reason the enquiry form asks only for what I need to get in touch. I will share details with your vet or emergency contact if your pet’s welfare requires it.
How long I keep it
I keep client records while you use my services and for up to six years afterwards for accounting and insurance purposes. My copies of enquiries that don’t lead to a booking are deleted within 12 months.
Your rights
You can ask to see, correct or delete your information, or object to how I use it. Contact me and I will respond within one month. If you are unhappy, you can complain to the Information Commissioner’s Office at ico.org.uk.
Cookies
This website does not set cookies. Visitor numbers may be counted using privacy-friendly analytics that do not identify you. If you use the booking calendar, Google’s own privacy policy applies to that page.
